Intermodal transport by rail of semi trailers between Aiton (FR) and Orbassano (IT)

Description

The service should provide for the intermodal transport by rail of semi trailers accompanied or not between the French railway station of Aiton (and vice versa) and the Italia railway station of Orbassano through the Frejus railway tunnel along a railway route of approximately 175 km. Lot 1: The expected maximum frequency of the service is 4 daily round trips between the Aiton and Orbassano stations, for 5 days per weeks, with 2 round trips on Saturdays, for a total amount of 50 weeks a year and a minimum theorical capacity of 22 units for a single route. The duration of the service is set at 3 years without prejudice to the possibility of an extension for a further 3 years if requested jointly by both states. The extimated total value at point II.1.5) is for 6 years. The concessionary authorities do not plan to make additional purchases from the contractor.
