: A direct award has been made due to extreme urgency pursuant to regulation 32(2)(c) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC) asked UK Biocentre to expand their operations to analyse swab samples to determine whether an individual has COVID-19. In order to provide this service UK Biocentre have had to urgently expand their operations and procure additional liquid handling machines from the manufacturer Tecan UK Limited.
