Lot 1: Ieso provide online typed cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and has been a provider of services in South East Essex since 2017. <br/><br/>Ieso is available without any wait for treatment and provides a secure chat room space in which the conversation with a therapist is typed rather than conducted on a video call. The treatment is the same, the only difference is that the therapist and patient will type their conversation rather than talk. This alternative delivery method proven particularly helpful for many of EPUT patients and further supports our digital delivery of services which provides increased access to treatment platforms within Therapy for You. <br/><br/>As this takes place online and is secure there is no need for patients to miss work, travel or other commitments. It provides an opportunity for patients that may not have a suitable space for therapy to be able to engage with their therapist (eg; lack of child care, multi-generational households). Research has indicated this method of treatment is just as effective as face to face therapy.
