GL Assessment Ltd (formerly GL Education Group) provide standardised assessment used in almost all South Lanarkshire Council primary and secondary schools. The purpose of standardised assessment is not only to support the daily Learning, Teaching and Assessment agenda but to also provide schools with robust management data to understand cohort attainment. Once a specific assessment tool has been selected, individual schools are able to track individual learner attainment over time, cohort attainment over time and year on year stage attainment Lot 1: GL Assessments fully align with the Scottish Curriculum, which is vital to meet Scottish Government targets for monitoring, assessment and reporting. It is important that schools have this progressive data to be able to appropriately report on progress at an individual learner, local authority and national level, and also to inform our teacher professional judgement.
