Provision of Animal Farm, Show, and Sale Inspection Services

SRUC invites suitably qualified and experienced suppliers to tender for the provision of Animal Farm, Show, and Sale inspection services. These services support Maedi Visna (MV) and Caprine Arthritis Encephalitis (CAE) accreditation through routine and ad-hoc farm inspections, as well as show/sale inspections across Scotland, England, and Wales. Lot 1: The scope of the contract includes the provision of routine and ad-hoc farm inspections, as well as inspections of livestock shows and sales, to verify compliance with Premium Sheep & Goat Health Schemes (PSGHS) Scheme Rules and relevant animal-health legislation. Inspections will be undertaken across Scotland, England, and Wales in accordance with an annual PSGHS programme. The successful supplier will be responsible for delivering inspections using an approved methodology, producing timely and accurate inspection reports, maintaining appropriate records and audit trails, and escalating any significant non-compliance or animal-health concerns to PSGHS as required. The contract will be awarded to a single supplier and will run for an initial period of three (3) years, with the option to extend for up to two (2) additional years, subject to satisfactory performance.
