Description

Museums Galleries Scotland (MGS) is looking to source a bank of experienced facilitators to deliver anti-ableism workshops as part of the Delivering Change project. The workshops form part of the Museum Transformers and Museum Activists programmes which run from approximately April 2024 to December 2026. The facilitators will work with participants from 20 Museum Transformer organisations and approximately 100 Museum Activists individuals to facilitate a series of online or in-person participatory anti-ableism workshops tailored to the museum sector. Please note that the design of workshop content does not form part of this contract as the series is currently being developed by Visible Inclusive Accessibility (VIA). The workshops will be designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to explore issues relating to ableism within the museum sector, as well as providing tools and action plans for participants to critically explore how their own institutions could be perpetuating systemic ableism. Lot 1: Museums Galleries Scotland (MGS) is looking to source a bank of experienced facilitators to deliver anti-ableism workshops as part of the Delivering Change project. The workshops will be designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to explore issues relating to ableism within the museum sector, as well as providing tools and action plans for participants to critically explore how their own institutions could be perpetuating systemic ableism. Each workshop must be delivered by two facilitators. MGS therefore requires tenders to be submitted by pairs of facilitators who intend to work together to deliver the workshops either online or at venues across Scotland, from Shetland to the Borders. Each successful pair of facilitators will be added to a bank of facilitators; MGS will work collaboratively with facilitators and participant museums to identify the most beneficial partnerships in terms of group dynamic and location. More information is available in the Invitation to Tender provided at the Additional Documents section.
