Description
The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham is seeking to commission an innovative provider to deliver a borough-wide Peer Support and Lived Experience Leadership Programme for adults with learning disabilities, autism and wider neurodiversity (LDAN), including carers. This programme forms the first phase of a wider prevention and inclusion approach, focused on strengthening community-based support, improving accessibility and inclusion, and embedding lived experience leadership across the system. The Council is looking for a provider (or partnership of providers) who can design and deliver a programme that: • builds sustainable peer support networks ensuring that approaches are appropriately tailored to the needs of specific groups • establishes meaningful co-production and lived experience leadership structures • improves inclusion and accessibility across community and public-facing services • supports early intervention, improves health inequalities and reduces escalation to statutory services The programme will play a key role in shaping future service development, including potential expansion into a broader borough-wide prevention and navigation offer.
