Wyre Forest District Council, along with Bromsgrove District and Redditch Borough Council would like to notify you of an upcoming requirement, and by doing are keen to understand where the market stands in terms of our requirement below. The Environment Act 2021 has introduced the requirement for a compulsory Food Waste Collection Service. From 1st April 2026, the Councils will be required to offer a household Food Waste collection service to all of its residents, free at the point of use and collected kerbside. The Council wishes to engage with the market options with the market to deliver the service.
