Damage or loss insurance services

Description

Non-life insurance contract for buildings owned by Bergen Municipality. The insurance contract must cover damages resulting from fire, water, theft, vandalism and other sudden and unforeseen damage. The insurance includes, amongst other things, fire, soot damage, lightning strikes, explosion, implosion, electrical phenomenon, natural damage, interruptions in water and sewage pipes, interruptions to other fluids or gas supply, surface water damage, other fluid or gas damage, effluent fluids, break-in theft, external and internal vandalism, including vandalism during the break-in, glass in external panes and water damage resulting from vandalism. The insurance must also cover cumulative risk where relevant, for example, several buildings that are insured in this insurance are in the same block and can be lost in the same event, e.g. from a large fire. Own risk: own risk of NOK 500 000 per claim for municipal residential buildings, harbour buildings and installations, and buildings administered by the agency for water and sewage. All other buildings have an own risk of NOK 30 million, which in practice means that these buildings are only insured for very comprehensive damage. The contract is a standing contract, but there will be a maximum of 6 years before a new contest is held for competition purposes.
