This Prior Information Notice (PIN) serves to alert the marketplace to a potential upcoming opportunity for Tree Shelters and Associated Products; and requests information from the marketplace in order to refine requirements. The items that Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) intends to include in the procurement exercise are: 1. Vole Guards: Split Tube 2. Spiral Tree Guards (Ventilated and Non-Ventilated) 3. Standard Solitary Shelters: Solid (All Sizes) 4. Shrub Shelters 5. Weld Mesh Tree Guards 6. Biodegradable Solitary Shelters (All Sizes) 7. Semi-Permeable/Perforated Tree Shelters (All Sizes) 8. Round Softwood Stakes 9. Square Stakes - Hardwood & Softwood 10. Cable Ties, incl. Wire Twist, Tube repair ties etc 11. Chainlock Tree Ties 12. Bamboo Canes As part of the procurement process, we are engaging with the market on a number of key matters including areas of delivery/supply, innovation, sustainability and maintenance. Suppliers are therefore invited to complete a short questionnaire to provide FLS with information which may be utilised to inform the strategy and specification. This PIN notice and associated questionnaire is for information gathering and market engagement only, this is NOT a call for competition and response to this questionnaire will not constitute any form of contract, or commitment to contract from FLS.
