Description

First contract: Winter Operations with Stand-by Services. Snow clearing and gritting on the main roads. Salting along 23 km of bus routes and clearing in an around 54 bus shelters on municipal roads. Second Contract: Winter road grading including milling and transport removal of the ice from the road junctions, with the possibility of summer grading on gravel roads. Stand-by services, salting, gritting and snow clearing. The contractor shall be responsible for 24 hour a day standby throughout the entire winter season, from 1 October to and including 30 April, with snow clearing and salting of parts of the main road network included as main assignments. Other work assignments shall also be carried out on the roads and footpaths, i.a. Gritting, snow clearing, blocking dangerous points and draining of surface water on and in the vicinity of the roads, as well as other incidental woks as determined by the Contracting Authority (hourly based services). One road grader is required in winter between 1 January until and including 30 April. Tractors with cutters and small wheel loaders must also be used to clean up the road junctions are the grading has been carried out.
