Implementation of the EIB Conflict Sensitivity Helpdesk

Description

As a Body of the European Union, the EIB seeks to adhere to the ‘do no harm’ principle and follow good international practice for investing in fragile contexts. To this end, the EIB has developed a conflict sensitivity approach and has established the Conflict Helpdesk, which has been operational since 2017. In the context of the increased focus of EIB on conflict affected and fragile settings, the EIB is commissioning a new contract for provision of the helpdesk services. The contractor will implement the Conflict Helpdesk Services, including conflict assessments on project level as well as regional, sectoral or thematic level conflict assessment, as needed. The current set-up of the Helpdesk will need to be reviewed, and where appropriate amended. Next to the implementation of the assessments, the overall helpdesk approach includes a strong focus on knowledge management, institutional capacity development and partnership facilitation.
