Description
DTU Nanolab intends to procure a high-end transmission electron microscope for state-of-the-art materials science research. The instrument will be part of the DTU Nanolab research infrastructure hosting several electron microscopes. Atomic resolution combined with highly sensitive analytical performance is required in order to map out individual atoms in materials, including electron beam sensitive materials. The instrument must be capable of highly efficient (non-destructive) analytical tomography to map out inhomogeneous samples in 3-dimensions (for instance for energy research). The instrument will be used in a multi-user environment by students, researchers and external customers and should therefore be a proven and robust and safe design that enables training to a wide and varied user base.
