Description

Create an inspiring enjoyable off-road trail linking some of West Lothian’s key shale villages, sites and features. To enable local people and visitors to engage and learn about every aspect of local oil shale heritage through emotional storytelling encouraging users to have an empathetic connection to the past. The interpretive experience will combine several elements ranging from simple audio-visual interactions to virtual representations creating a storyline that makes users feel the past heritage. The shale trail interpretation and design will be required to meet the vision aims and objectives of the 16-mile multi use trail requiring the creation of the following elements. The design will be required to meet as a minimum Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1).
