Description
The vision of NGC is to create a foundation for the development of a more precise diagnosis, targeted treatment and strengthened research within the Danish healthcare system. The core mission of the NGC is to establish and operate a state-of-the-art and secure national infrastructure for personalised medicine in cooperation with the Regions and universities. The NGC will perform Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) and subsequent bioinformatics analysis of samples from the regional healthcare system. The WGS data will be stored in a Genome Database (i.e., object storage) and need to be made available for researchers in a secure way. NGC wants to offer a Data Analysis Platform solution to the Regions and Universities for conducting research. The Data Analysis Platform will be the only access point for the WGS data. In addition to the WGS data, the research users of the solution will be able to bring their silo data into the platform. The goal is to allow researchers to query, process, integrate, visualise and perform analysis on voluminous, complex and dynamic data.
