To allow continuation of a contractual arrangement with a supplier beyond contract terms in exceptional circumstances. The sign shop materials are quite a niche market and a previous attempt at tendering for these materials was unsuccessful. Since that time the sign shop has purchased materials after obtaining quotations from the suppliers that can provide the goods at a competitive price and also meet the delivery timescales required. The sign shop manufactures signs for both internal and external customers and the timescales are set by the customer. The materials provided by this supplier provide value for money and are able to deliver within the required timescales.This is a request for an interim solution to continue service provision with the support from the Procurement team it is the intention that a full specification and tender for all sign shop materials will be prepared and tendered within six months of this exception request to ensure future compliance. The sign shop obtains quotations for materials prior to purchasing, the suppliers also provide their delivery times which is part of the best value decision on utilising suppliers for the councils most advantageous position to ensure that we can deliver our services to our customers without delay. ## Contract award Title: Provide CE marked traffic signs
