Project Management courses are core to foster understanding for, and support implementation of a Project Management methodology, to educate staff in the application of Project Management skills and techniques, and to build competence based on standards such as IPMA’s Individual Competence Baseline (ICB4). In order to support its Learning and Development initiative, the Sligo Chamber Skillnet is seeking quotations from suitably qualified external vendors to develop and provide a Certified Project Management Course in line with the specification outlined in section 2 below. 2. Training Specification 2.1 Goal of Training The goal of the training course is to equip project managers/team members with the knowledge, skills and techniques required to manage projects. The course should reflect PMI PMBOK knowledge areas and project management processes in order to ensure a sound understanding of project management and practice application. Training should be delivered addressing both theory and practice in project management in line with the PMI PMBOK (5th Edition 2013). 2.2 Audience Candidates will generally be project managers or project team members who have worked on project teams but may not previously have had formal project management training. 2.3 Number of Candidates It is envisaged that the minimum number would be 16 candidates. 2.4 Certification The course should be at Diploma level and shall prepare and offer the candidates international certification by a professional body either PMP, IPMA or equivalent which should be reflected in the course cost submission. The successful provider will be required to complete the administration of certification for candidates. 2.5 Timeframe for delivery of Course It is envisaged that the course will start in September 2017, with full certification completed by December 2017 at the latest. 2.6 Proposed Course Delivery Format It is envisaged that this course would run over at least 12 to 14 weeks with a combination of d
