Description
The Brief We are seeking a quote from a supplier to provide compost bins to the public and to community groups. The bins will be advertised on the Gloucestershire Recycles website and the district council websites that are part of the Gloucestershire Waste and Resources Partnership. The budget should allow for: • A year long contract from April 2025 to March 2026. • Be able to provide a discount for residents on any composting system available (including wormeries and bokashi composting for residents with limited space). The level of discount available should be able to be varied throughout the year at the discretion of GCC so that promotional offer periods can offer larger discounts. E.g. some bins could be free during composting campaigns. • The discount should only apply until the budget has been fully spent. • We should be able to provide free compost bins and delivery for schools and community groups at GCC’s discretion. The mechanism for ordering these bins will be that GCC will confirm the order with the group and will send this over to the supplier from the team at GCC, the full cost of bins and delivery will then be covered by GCC. • A range of different types of compost bins should be available to residents using this budget. • Monthly invoicing (including a break down of products that have been purchased and the first half of the postcode for orders). • The supplier should be able to host orders on their website and automatically apply discounts for residents in the correct area. They should dispatch directly. • Orders should be only be for residents of Gloucestershire and delivery is only possible for Gloucestershire postcodes. GCC can provide acceptable postcodes. • Each household should only be eligible for one bin during the contract period. • Some marketing of the products from the supplier would be beneficial. Anticipated breakdown of costs • We are anticipating this project will cost up to £14,500 excluding VAT. • The project will provide monthly invoices for compost bins bought by the public and community groups up to the end of the contract. (with additional invoices provided on request). • No further bins will be provided to the public once the total budget has been spent, even if the contract is not completed.
