10071 Landscape Improvement Works at West End Street Gardens

Norwich City Council (the council) is conducting an open tender for a single contractor to carry out the landscape improvement works of the play area and gardens at West End Street, Norwich, Norfolk, NR2 4JD. West End Street Gardens is an important local green space and improvements to the entrances, surfacing and structures within it is vital to providing an accessible, inviting and robust facility for the use of the local community. Wensum Residents Association for Parks (WRAP) has secured grant funding from the central government Pocket Parks 2019-20 programme and the Park Improvement Fund to refurbish existing parks. These works will be subject to government regulations and guidelines as part of the ongoing response to Covid-19. The project design team are updating the project risk register as new developments are announced and will endeavour to keep the recommended contractor informed of any changes to working methods as a result of Covid-19. West End Street Gardens is a public site and will remain open to visitors during the period of construction works.
