Breathing Apparatus Cylinder Replacement and Associated Calibration Services

Description

2.1 Highlands and Islands Airports Limited (HIAL) has a requirement to place a contract with an external service provider for the provision of Breathing Apparatus Cylinders and Associated Calibration Services. Lot 1: Breathing Apparatus Cylinder Replacement The supply of 176, 9 litre capacity, 300 Bar breathing apparatus cylinders, compatible with Draeger PSS7000 breathing apparatus sets. Cylinders must be of lightweight but robust construction. Ideally HIAL will be looking for the cylinders to be constructed with an aluminium liner and carbon and fibreglass outer layer. Cylinders must include right angle cylinder valve assemblies, safety locking ratchet handwheels and excess flow valve protection. Cylinders must meet the requirements of EN 12245:2009 and EN 144-1:2018. Cylinders must have a minimum operational lifespan of 20 years. Lot 2: Associated Calibration Services Recalibration of breathing apparatus compressors and Drager Bodyguard units (BA Sets) to enable charging of 300 Bar cylinders and their operational use.
