Description

Mid Ulster District Council is seeking tenders for a contractor to develop and deliver a PEACEPLUS funded Culture, Arts and Heritage programme, with primary age children, for Mid Ulster District Council. The purpose of this specification is to set out the scope, minimum standards, service requirements, performance, and all other obligations that the Council requires of the Contractor when delivering this programme contract. This is a dedicated cross community Culture, Arts and Heritage programme for all Primary Schools in the district focusing on primary 6/7 age group. The programme will support children to: • Build greater awareness and understanding of locally based shared culture, arts and heritage within their local community • Build shared engagement and friendships between diverse schools through an experiential and interactive learning programme focused on locally based culture, arts and heritage • Develop skills in innovation and creative technology in children • A total of 750 children engaged over a 3 year period. The programme will build the children’s awareness and understanding of locally based culture, arts and heritage while supporting them to build friendships and contribute to a prosperous and peaceful society.
