Services will include but not be limited too, Lifting Operations Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) examination, weight testing, services which must be supported by Loler certification for each of the following lots: Lot 1: Cranes; Lot 2: Forklifts; Lot 3: Vehicle Hook-lift; Lot 4: Plant Loaders; Lot 5: Wheel Chair Access Passenger lifts; Lot 6: Vehicle Tail lifts; Lot 7: Skip Loaders; Lot 8: RCV Bin Hoist (Side); Lot 9: RCV Bin Hoist (Rear); Lot 10: Powered Access Platforms (Cherry Pickers). Glasgow City Council main objective for this procurement exercise is to ensure that all lifting equipment is maintained in order to avoid risk to lives and property. This shall be achieved by appointing suitably qualified suppliers who shall carry out Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) examination and associated repairs in accordance to manufacturer’s recommendations and with compliance with relevant legislations/regulations and best practice. This shall include forklifts and bidders must review Document One which details all of the equipment which is covered under this agreement. Document one is available within the Buyers area in PCST. Glasgow City Council main objective for this procurement exercise is to ensure that all lifting equipment is maintained in order to avoid risk to lives and property.
