Description

East Cambridgeshire District Council requires the supply and installation of external digital signage in and around the city of Ely. This will include: • A minimum of 10 digital screens • Internal media players for each screen to enable scheduled content (graphics and video) to play on the units when not in use • An offer of maintenance and support for a minimum of three years • Installation of the screens including all civils works, power, sign installation works etc. Lot 1: East Cambridgeshire District Council requires the supply and installation of external digital signage in and around the city of Ely. This will include: • A minimum of 10 digital screens • Internal media players for each screen to enable scheduled content (graphics and video) to play on the units when not in use • An offer of maintenance and support for a minimum of three years • Installation of the screens including all civils works, power, sign installation works etc. • The Tenderer is responsible for the design, checking and installation of the required foundations including liaising with the DNO to provide connectivity. These and the costs for the removal of the existing Tourist Information Points (where applicable) should be included in the overall price provided by the potential contractor. • It will be the responsibility of the successful bidder to also provide specific and relevant risk assessments and method statements for the installation of each device. • It will be the responsibility of the successful bidder to consider and ensure that the installation of the devices, including the groundworks, complies with Construction design Management (CDM) regulations where it may apply. Health and safety in construction HSG150 (hse.gov.uk). The Contractor will provide; • A programme to include each individual element of the works i.e. civils works, power, sign installation works etc. The information provided in the programme should include working hours and accurate duration and must abide by the constraints below with return of the tender. • ECDC require a lead in time of no more than 4 weeks, followed by an installation period of around 4 weeks to allow for unforeseen issues. • Vehicular and Pedestrian access to all premises in the area of the works shall be maintained unless written agreement is obtained from ECDC. • The contractor will be required to comply with the standard working conditions and application timescales of the Streetworks. The contractor is required to obtain this information if needed to allow this price to be submitted. • The contractor will be permitted to place Traffic Management ‘off peak’ only, unless agreed in writing by East Cambridgeshire District Council. This is to be reflected in the returned price • The normal working hours will be 8am – 6pm on weekdays. No working permitted outside of this without agreement in writing from ECDC.
