The development of the proposed Scapa Deep Water Quay development at the greenfield site in Scapa Flow, Orkney. The proposed Scapa Deep Water Quay and Scapa Flow offer the optimal location for a major assembly hub for fixed and floating wind substructures and turbine integration; as well as smaller scale manufacturing; and wet storage. Suitable for other sectoral activities, this infrastructure is essentially aimed to be a multi-user facility for any industry that requires deep-water berthing and large laydown space. Lot 1: The works, part of Orkney Harbours Masterplan Phase 1, is to include the construction of a deep water berth, land creation and reclamation and all ancillary associated works forming the overall development. The purpose of the Meet the Buyer Event is to give contractors interested in tendering for the Scapa Deep Water Quay Project development in Orkney (including those seeking to explore the sub-contracting potential of the project), the opportunity to: - meet the Client (The Council’s Harbour Authority) and the Project Team developing the projects; - learn more about Orkney and the Orkney Islands Council Masterplan Phase 1; - learn more about the overall requirements for the delivery of the Project(s); - learn more about the technical development of the Project - learn more about the proposed procurement procedure, route to market and timescales of the proposed Scapa Deep Water Quay development; and - provide feedback to the OIC and the Project Team on the proposals. The Meet the Buyer Event is to facilitate market engagement taking place in advance of the formal procurement process, the event will be conducted in a fully transparent manner with all presentations, questions and answers fully documented and shared with all registered participants.
