Description
Iarnród Éireann proposes to undertake renewals works to existing high voltage (HV) traction power substations (TPS) and track paralleling huts (TPH). Existing critical HV traction electrical equipment is to be replaced by new modern equivalent HV traction electrical equipment. Over the next 6 years, IÉ plans to roll out a traction renewals program, which will see the modernisation of seven existing first-generation traction assets from 1983.
