Für die Versorgung von Patienten mit Blutprodukten müssen diese von zugelassenen Herstellern eingekauft werden, da die eigene Herstellung von Blutprodukten für die Versorgung der Patienten nicht ausreicht. Benötigt werden biologische Arzneimittel, auch Blutzubereitungen genannt, deren Ausgangsstoffe menschlicher Herkunft sind. Es handelt sich um folgende Produkte: 1. Erythrozytenkonzentrat aus Fremdblut, leukozytendepletiert, Jahresbedarf ca. 26 000 TE; 2. Thrombozytenkonzentrat – Apherese (im Einzelfall)-leukozytendeplteiert ca. 100 TE; 3. Thrombozytenkonzentrat – Pool (im Einzelfall)-leukozytendeplteiert ca. 3 400 TE; 4. Gerinnungsaktives Frischplasma (GFP) leukozytendepletiert, quarantänegelagert ca. 3 000 TE; 5. PCR und Serologie (nach Anforderungen PEI 2019) ca. 7 000 TE.
