PARKWOOD ACCESS ROAD

Description

Parkwood is currently undergoing assessment for the development of a new access road that will serve both the old ski village and broader site. The introduction of this road will support ambitious plans to transform the area into a nationally recognised outdoor activity park. The scope of the project is to create a suitable access route to the site, ensuring access for both vehicles and active travel. Located 1.5 miles north of the city centre, bordered by Council-owned land to the east and Viridor’s former landfill site to the north. A comprehensive investigation and modelling exercise are required to develop a minimum viable junction design option and an enhanced option to increase Rutland Road capacity to accommodate the additional traffic volumes generated by the proposed new access road. This project is a single two-stage tender utilising the NEC4 Option C with X22 Option (Early Contractor Involvement) form of contract. The Stage 1 Tender price shall be submitted as set out in the Instructions to Tenderers document.
