Procurement of Infrasonics for avalanches detection on E8 through Lavangsdalen and national road 15 through Grasdalen

Statens vegvesen [the Norwegian Public Roads Administration], hereafter called the contracting authority, wants tenders for delivery of infrasonics for automatic detection of avalanche activity in two locations E8 through Lavangsdalen in Tromsø kommune [Tromsø Municipality] and national road 15 through Grasdalen in Stryn municipality. The purpose of this procurement is to reduce the probability of crews and road users driving into avalanche masses, provide a basis for more precise avalanche notifications, contribute to effective decision-making processes with regard to closing roads, opening roads, preventive avalanche control and other emergency preparedness.
