RFT for the supply of upgrade of Studio Galleries and Router for Broadcasting Unit for the Houses of the Oireachtas

The Houses of the Oireachtas Commission (hereinafter referred to as the Contracting Authority) invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified candidates for the refurbishment and upgrade of Studio Galleries for Broadcasting for the Houses of the Oireachtas. The Houses of the Oireachtas Broadcasting Unit (OBU) is preparing to publish a tender for the replacement of Control Room infrastructure which is predominantly end of life and would like to replace it with a hybrid SDI/IP solution using the latest technologies, products, and solutions available. Lot 1: The Houses of the Oireachtas Commission (hereinafter referred to as the Contracting Authority) invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified candidates for the refurbishment and upgrade of Studio Galleries for Broadcasting for the Houses of the Oireachtas. The Houses of the Oireachtas Broadcasting Unit (OBU) is preparing to publish a tender for the replacement of Control Room infrastructure which is predominantly end of life and would like to replace it with a hybrid SDI/IP solution using the latest technologies, products, and solutions available. This project aims to identify and implement improvements, benefits and cost efficiencies which can be achieved by moving to a hybrid SDI/IP solution. We would like a solution that includes an increased level of accurate data for on screen display (for example Lower Third Captions) and logging, minimisation of dependence on physical documentation and integration of remote/virtual meeting feeds. We would also like the ability to access the system remotely for business continuity purposes and disaster recovery.
