Description

Energnist operates two incineration plants (Waste-to-Energy) to treat waste from private households and industry. The two waste incineration plants are located in Esbjerg and Kolding respectively. Flue gas generated from the combustion is purified in dedicated installations for flue gas treatment for which various lime products are used in the processes. To that end Energnist offers the service of supply of limestone in a public tender. The supply in Lot A concerns; Esbjerg uses limestone and, from experience, 1 000-1 200 tonnes of the product is consumed at the plant annually. Kolding uses a special hydrate lime with a high surface area, and from experience, 2 000-2 400 tonnes of the product is consumed at the plant annually.
