THE CONTRACT HAS BEEN AWARDED TO GROUNDWORK NORTHERN IRELAND AND HAZEL HICKS. 1.Organise an opening and closing event. 2.To deliver cultural competence training to community groups (community groups must be registered with the Community Forum). The training programme is to be innovative. The training is to take place throughout Co. Sligo. 3.Encourage community groups to reach out beyond their religious or ethnic community. Many groups do not seek participation for community events from religious or ethnic grouping different to themselves. This seems to happen from a lack of consciousness rather than a decision to exclude. 4.Development of a best practice guide/workbook to be used by groups.
