Description

The works consist of provision of cycle facilities over a length of 1km of road. This includes: construction of segregated cycle track, extruded concrete kerb, footpath improvement works, pedestrian crossings and raised table junctions, road resurfacing drainage works, utility provision, public lighting, traffic signals, bus layby, tree felling and landscaping works. It also includes accommodation works including construction of boundary wall.” The Proposed Father Russell Road Cycle Scheme includes the online upgrade of an existing section of the L-1429 over a length of 1km. The works associated with the upgrade of the urban single carriageway road corridor include; -provision of linear pedestrian/cyclist facilities in accordance with DMURS, the National Cycle Manual and NTA BusConnects Guidance; -provision of pedestrian/cyclist crossings; -upgrade of side road junctions; -diversion of live services including ESB, watermains, and telecomms; -upgrade of surface water collection system; -site clearance and fencing; -masonry and reinforced concrete retaining walls; -accommodation works; -road pavements; -kerbing, footway/cycleway construction; -traffic signs, traffic signals and road markings; -road lighting; -planting and landscaping.
