Users are reminded that the details provided herein are intended for informational purposes only. 1.3 Where applicable, in the context of electrical design, it is imperative to emphasize the significance of aligning the design process with the regulations set out in BS 7671, also known as the IET Wiring Regulations. BS 7671 serves as a crucial framework for electrical installations and is designed to ensure the safety, integrity, and reliability of electrical systems. Service providers shall assume full responsibility for any electrical design and implementation conducted based on the information contained herein. 1.4 Where applicable, all electrical design work must be carried out by competent individuals who possess a comprehensive understanding of BS 7671. It should be acknowledged that failure to adhere to BS 7671 could compromise the safety of the electrical installation and result in non-compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. 1.5 The requirements of any other relevant legislation, including the Building Regulations 2010, British Standards (e.g., BS 5839 Part 6), Codes of Practice, industry guidance, and manufacturer instructions, will also need to be considered throughout the design process, where applicable. 1.6 As part of any procurement process, this specification must be read in conjunction with all drawings and specifications, as no claim for lack of knowledge after the submission will be accepted. Any ambiguity must be clarified during the procurement process permitted timeframes.
