Traffic Management

Description

Supply of traffic management during refurbishment of WPD cables on UK Public Highways. Lot 1: The contractor adheres to and fully complies with the following: • New Roads and Street Works Act 1991; • Traffic Management Act 2004; • Traffic Signs Manual Chapter 8; • Safety at Street Works and Road Works Code of Practice (COP) as amended; • Permit schemes (especially conditions relating to traffic management); • Highway Authority and Utilities Committee (HAUC) Advice Notes as applicable. The Contractor supports all specified geographical areas of Western Power Distribution and has sufficient resources to provide plant, product and design and services to enable safe working for all road traffic scenarios. The contractor provides a 24-hour 365 day service, and has the ability to respond and be on Site within 2 hours of receipt of notification from WPD. All Staff are legally qualified to support Street Works legislation.
