Wimbledon Park Primary School fire safety package

Description

Fire safety improvement package of works to be undertaken at Wimbledon Park Primary School in the London Borough of Merton, over the summer holidays 2026. Where deemed required by the Contractor in order to complete works by the 1st September 2026, they should allow for out of hours working. Nature: Works largely involve the replacement of existing doorsets deemed to be insufficient in terms of providing sufficient compartmentation with new fire rated doorsets and overhaul of existing fire doors to ensure they are operating correctly. There are also existing partitions to be overboarded, infills to non-fire rated glazed screens, overboarding and compartmentation works. Although works are due to be undertaken over the summer break, there will be holiday clubs on-site and as such prior thought/planning needs to be given to ensure segregation. The holiday club will largely be away from working areas, and close liaison with the schools site manager will be required to ensure sufficient segregation from working areas. As there will be holiday clubs on-site all operatives must hold valid enhanced DBS Certificates. Contractor will need to demonstrate these are available at tender return stage otherwise their offer may be voided. Keywords: Fire doors
