Galway City Council wishes to establish a Single Party Framework for the Provision of Project Management Service for staff accommodation to new site in Crown Square, Galway

Galway City Council (GCC) has approved the purchase of a new office block at the Crown Square development in Galway City. Situated at the junction of Joyce’s Road and Monivea Road, Crown Square will offer a vibrant campus featuring five office buildings, Cafés, and hotel all designed around a public plaza on 12.65 acres of landscaped grounds. It is expected that the move to the new offices will take place on a phased basis commencing Q3 2023 and be completed by the end of Q4. To ensure we achieve the fit out design and installation and the move to the new office on time, meeting the correct standards and budget we are seeking project management services with specific experience in office design, office fit out installations, logistics planning, communications and move coordination from our existing 3 office location to our new Head Quarters. This project management service will act as the bridge between GCC Senior management team (SMT) and the internally appointed Project Manager and the suppliers utilised for the various elements of the project delivery through an agreed communications protocol. The service will provide: • Governance over the project acting on behalf of Galway City Council Communication and advice to GCC on all aspects of the project and ensure the Council is informed to make value add decisions • Ensure all standards are met as per the delivery of the building standards • Ensure all necessary certifications for the finished building are in place and captured by GCC • Ensure all warranties are clearly defined and assigned to GCC as the end customer • The lead for the logistics planning and delivery of the workforce move to its new location • Updates to internal working groups established as part of the staff engagement and consultation processes, Elected Members and other stakeholder groups as required from time to time.
