This Invitation to Quote is for the development of a scheme of work to enable maths to be taught to adult learners using a maths mastery approach, such as that used by the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM). The principles of the mastery approach which we expect the supplier to adhere to are outlined here: Five Big Ideas in Teaching for Mastery | NCETM and here: The Essence of Mathematics Teaching for Mastery | NCETM This will allow us to test whether a mastery approach could lead to improved adult learner outcomes.
