CAD Software Procurement

Description

HCC makes extensive use of AutoCad software for the production of plans and diagrams for the Universal Services directorate. The current contract was tendered as a three year contract ending on 04/04/2026. HCC was advised by Autodesk that some of the original licences covered in the current contract were expiring in January 2026 and it would be prudent to co-term all the licences to end at the same time, therefore a reprocurement exercise was required. Autodesk is also in the process of introducing new licence models which could be beneficial to HCC. These launch after the January licence expiry date, so a short term contract was sought to enable HCC to take time to investigate whether these new licensing options are likely to deliver future savings.
