Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council (the “Council”) is seeking a suitable organisation (the “Operator”) to lease and manage the soon to be refurbished Grade II listed, former Neath Library, situated at Victoria Gardens, Neath SA11 3BA.The building is to be renovated within the parameters of its Listed Building status, for use as a ‘Creative Industries Hub’. This will consist of flexible use workspaces and offices, with an emphasis on creative and cultural industries such as arts, digital, writing, illustration, photography, podcasting, events, consultancy and associated professional services.The Council wishes to engage with and secure a preferred Operator at an early stage, to ensure that on-going development and design of the facility is appropriate, in order to maximise opportunity and ensure the long-term sustainability of the venue.The lease and the operating agreement will be for a period of 15 yearsNOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
