Stavanger municipality invites tenderers to a tender contest for the organisation of the city festival in the centre of Stavanger Stavanger2025 Lot 1: Stavanger city, cathedral and diocese shall in 2025 celebrate their 900th anniversary, where Stavanger municipality is the main organiser. The University of Stavanger and the Church of Norway are co-organisers and are planning a year of activities for young and old. The city anniversary shall develop identity, belonging and community, strengthen the Stavanger region's national and international reputation and attractiveness and contribute positively to urban and regional development. The Stavanger 2025 project wants to communicate cultural heritage, local history and strengthen the regional and local cultural milieu. One of the highlights shall take place in April 2025, where Stavanger municipality wants to invite the public to a grand city anniversary in Stavanger city centre.
