Description
The successful Supplier will be required to provide catering services for The Prospect Trust at the following locations: •The Sixth Form College Farnborough ~ Prospect Avenue, Farnborough, Hampshire, GU14 8JX •Tomlinscote School ~ Tomlinscote Way, Frimley, Surrey, GU16 8PY •Frimley Junior School ~ Frimley Green Road, Frimley Green, Camberley, GU16 6ND Lot 1: The Prospect Trust is a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) that currently operates three Academies; The Sixth Form College Farnborough (SFCF), and Tomlinscote School and Frimley Junior School in Frimley. It is the Trust’s intention to further extend the MAT further in the future. All three academies are highly successful and are well subscribed; The Sixth Form College Farnborough has approximately 4,000 students on the roll, Tomlinscote School approximately 1,450 students and Frimley Junior School approximately 220 students. The tender project is seeking to appoint a contractor where initiative and innovation will be welcomed for the provision of all services within the existing facilities for the students on roll and the associated 450 teaching and support staff, with a focus on exciting new food concepts to satisfy a wide range of pupil tastes and dietary requirements. The Trust would want the successful contractor to review the current range of services offered and make recommendations accordingly. The contract being tendered is for three years in duration from 1 August 2021 to 31 July 2024 and will operate as a Guaranteed Performance Contract, with the successful contractor offering the Trust a guaranteed return / cost per annum for the provision of catering services. Sovereignty of the cash tariff is to remain with the Trust for the duration of this contract. The academic year is based on a calendar of 195 days but because of the nature of the studies at all sites, i.e. early departure for Year 11 and Year 13 to undertake their exams, the full cohort of students would be in for only approximately 170 days. The contract offered covers the scope for the provision of all catering services within the College and Schools, which currently includes breakfast, lunch, all hospitality and free issue requirements. Hospitality will be charged based on consumption and at net food cost. Whilst the Trust prioritises value for money as a key objective of the Competitive Tender Process, it is not obliged to accept the lowest price. Please see SQ Document for further details.
