Hospital Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration Systems (HePMA).

Published

Description

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) wishes to engage with interested suppliers and developers to undertake a soft market test exercise (‘soft market test’) relating to seeking a partner who can work with them to deliver a leading edge Hospital Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration system (HePMA), to deliver an ambitious benefits package and to realise a series of exciting transformational opportunities. Also, to explore whether alternative sourcing arrangements would offer better value for money and if so, how to proceed in the most effective way. We intend for the Development Partnership to create a best of breed complex HePMA solution through this project and together with other projects, including e-Observations, Order Communications, Digitised Health Record and Clinical Portal, will contribute to a more comprehensive integrated digital care record by 2018 for emergency patients and 2020 for non-emergency. The required services within the scope of the soft market testing will be: The provision and maintenance support of software licenses and professional services to design, configure and supplier implementation of the preferred solution in partnership with NUH. The HePMA system must eventually be responsive to the needs of all our services at NUH (supporting the full age range from Neonates to Adults) including elective and emergency, in-patients, out-patients and all staff types including temporary, agency and locum. Those expressing an interest in this PIN must be able to demonstrate that they have proven delivery and deployment experience of at least two of the following eight functional requirements (all of which are covered in our output based specification) and provide reference site information in support of this. Interested parties in the scope described in this PIN should register via https:// commercialsolutions.bravosolution.co.uk/web/login.shtml to express an interest in this project by 09:00 hours on 26.11.
