Description

The Floating Treatment Wetland Project It is proposed to evaluate the use of Floating Treatment Wetlands (FTW) and data on catchment system characterisation as a means of controlling stream-pond water quality in a local authority area in Dublin county. Thus this research seeks to assess the potential impacts on surface water quality of integrating a system of Floating Treatment Wetland phyto-depuration units at defined points in steam-pond networks. The project will integrate field analysis of a series of pond based FTW units with the nature and source of pollutant transport and propagation in a Dublin local authority area.
