Tender for the Provision of Satellite Research Equipment

Description

WIT seeks to create a ‘Sat Comms Lab’, an end-to-end satellite application simulator and validation suite. It will consist of A High-Performance Signal Generator (Lot 1) which will be coupled with a Satellite Link Simulator (Lot 2), and some Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) specific receivers and antennae (Lot 3) (with a view to monitoring, measuring and improving on the overall experience for tracking and timing correction services), fully emulating any range of constellations and link paths. These 3 Lot items in combination will create a complete, end-to-end, satellite application simulator and validation suite - currently for GNSS. Each of these items will be interchangeable with any item that a user would care to test and validate. This tender will be broken into 3 distinct Lots, which will be independently awarded. 1. A High-Performance Signal generator. 2. A Satellite Link Simulator. 3. GNSS Specific Receivers and Antennae. Additional equipment, including receivers, antennae, and cables, software packages / licenses may be purchased post tender for 36 months.
