Summary of the work The specialist will be an experienced Content Designer capable of working in a matrix environment to understand user needs, and work collaboratively to design clear, compelling and impactful solutions Specialist role Content designer Expected Contract Length 6 months with an optional extension period of up to 2 months Latest start date Monday 12 September 2022 Maximum Day Rate Up to £520 ex VAT per day. Standard 8 hour working day, includes expenses to base location agreed with DWP . This role is Inside IR35 Who Speclialist Work With The specialist will work with stakeholders across Technology Services including Product Owners and Delivery teams. Within the team they will work with Digital Engagement Managers, other Content Designers and Delivery Managers. What Specialists Work On The specialist will work with Digital Engagement (Comms) Managers, Product Owners and Delivery teams as part of the Digital Confidence and Capability suite of work. The specialist will work with the teams to develop content which effectively develops and communicates how we can improve Digital skills across the DWP. The specialist will work with colleagues within the Digital Workplace Champion (DWC) Network team to design and deliver ways to support the DWC community to improve engagement and take-up. Skills & Experience • Be an experienced Content Designer with demonstrable experience of creating user facing multimedia content • Be able to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams • Be able to work with stakeholders to drive actionable outcomes • Be able to work within a team • Experienced Content Designer with proven working knowledge of multimedia Content Design, particularly focusing on user facing content • Able to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to understand user behaviour, feedback, and co-design content • Able to work with stakeholders from multiple business areas to drive a clearly defined common view of content needs and how to achieve them • Understands the importance of, and can apply, good relationship management skills • Has well developed organisational and project support skills Nice to Haves • Understands the social and technological context for government services • Demonstrate experience of working in a large scale organisation and/or Government or Public Sector • Demonstrate Digital Workplace experience Work Location Primarily at the DWP Digital Corporate Hub2- St Peters Square, Manchester - although there may be a requirement to work from other DWP locations in the North West. Working Arrangments Specialist will work 5 working days per week . Attendance on site will be 40% of the specialist's time in accordance with DWP's Hybrid working policy. The remainder of the specialist's time will be working remotely .
