Summary of the work • Support resolution of Enterprise Sharepoint Issues. • Review current Sharepoint 2010 Service Pack2 installation and identify root cause issue with performance. • Review network configuration including authentication services, firewalls, domain controllers etc. • Provide support to resolve and document recommendations for improvements and efficiencies to align with best practise. Specialist role Technical Architect Expected Contract Length 20 days Latest start date Friday 1 March 2019 Who Speclialist Work With Specialist will be working with existing ICT Service Management and Operations Support teams. A jointly agreed plan and delivery dates will be established at the commencement of the contract. It is accepted that the full plan will be developed as the investigation progresses. What Specialists Work On Investigate and support resolution of Enterprise SharePoint Performance Issues within NI Water operational environment. SharePoint is used for collaboration internally and externally and provides a key business service. Initial assessment has indicated potential issues with authentication services and suggesting further review of network, firewalls, domain controllers etc. is appropriate. Skills & Experience • • Evidence and experience over a period of 4 or more years in deploying SharePoint within an Enterprise environment • • Evidence and experience over a period of 4 or more years in reviewing and assessing Enterprise Architectures • • Evidence and experience over a period of 4 or more year of resolving Sharepoint performance issues. • • Evidence and experience over a period of 4 or more years of engaging with and leading key users in technical reviews Nice to Haves •Evidence and experience over a period of 4 years in the identification of benefical improvements and efficiencies in Sharepoint within an Enterprise environment and alignment with best practise. Work Location Westland House, Head Office, 40 Old Westland Road, Belfast, County Antrim, Northern Ireland BT146TE Working Arrangments The work will be working onsite mixing face-to-face meeting with key users and with the Information Service Service Management and Operations, Development and Network teams. The specialist will be required on site during the investigation phase and will only be permitted to work remotely to complete subsequent report writing and with prior agreement from the business. The specialist will also be required onsite to present and discuss the report. The maximum day rate has been left blank intentionally, we will assess the day rate for suppliers using the evaluation weighting we have disclosed on the requirements. 3. 3) Are there any possibilities of extensions within this role? It's posing quite challenging to attract contractors for a 20 day contract. This is a one-off service requirement, not a full time role. The limited, short-term nature of the work should be reflected in the Supplier response. 4. 4) Is there an incumbent or a preferred supplier in place for this opportunity? This is a new, specific, one-off service requirement, not a full time role.There is neither an "incumbent" nor “preferred supplier in place”. 5. 5) Do you have a budget in place for the 20 day contract? Yes. 6. 6) Is there any possibility that the successful supplier will be required to extended beyond the 20 days to help implement the changes needed? The Supplier will be required to provide support to resolve and document recommendations for improvements and efficiencies to align with best practise. It is anticipated that the implementation of recommendations will be undertaken by internal team and will commence before the contract completes.It is not anticipated that the service requirement will be required to be extended beyond the 20 days. 7. 7) What is the IR35 status of the role? We see this role as sitting outside of IR35, as the candidates would not hold a fixed office position and will not have direct day to day direction or supervision. 8. 8) As per your statement that this role sits outside IR35, can this role be performed remotely, with perhaps regular on site meetings? The anticipated working arrangements will necessitate face-to-face meeting with both Key Users and a number of technical support teams such as Service Management and Operations, Development and Network teams.With this relatively short engagement, we would require the Specialist on site during the investigation phase for meetings and any network discovery activities. The Specialist can complete subsequent report writing remotely with prior agreement from the Business. The Specialist will also be required onsite to present and discuss the report. 9. 9) What is the max daily rate for this role? The maximum day rate has been left blank intentionally, we will assess the day rate for suppliers using the evaluation weighting we have disclosed on the requirements. 10. 10) Following the initial investigation phase, would there be any scope for a longer-term assignment, with the same consultant? This is a one-off service requirement, not a full time role.
