Description
The project is the design and construction of linear flood defences along both banks of the river Loxley from Malin bridge to the confluence of the rivers Loxley and Don. The site is generally split into three locations: Holme Lane Defences, Penistone Road Defences and Loxley Confluence Defences. The defences will consist of a combination of new structures and modifications to existing structures and buildings and may include the following: retaining walls, retaining walls with mini-piles, gravity walls, raising and/or strengthening existing walls, ground raising and embankments, bridge parapets, flap valves and flood gates.
