The contract covers urgent and specialist personal support to children with additional needsand disabilities. Personal support in the home has two main roles:• Supporting children andyoung people with additional needs and disabilities to achieve the outcomes of their careplan.• Supporting parents and carers, by giving them assistance with their caringresponsibilities or a short break. This is to enable them to look after their own emotional andphysical health and provide more sustainable care to their whole family.
