Description
The Council of the Borough of Kirklees (the ‘Council’) invites Tenders from Service Providers with relevant experience and ability to demonstrate sufficient capacity for the provision of vehicle body repairs and refurbishment works to all vehicles in the fleet (the ‘Services’) under a proposed Framework Agreement. The Council operates a fleet of approximately eight hundred and fifty (850) vehicles that vary in type and size and in order to maintain our on-going performance and service to the people of Kirklees, it is critical that the Council maintains optimum vehicle availability at all times During the Term of the Framework Agreement (and any Extension Period thereto), the size and composition of the fleet may vary, and as this is a Framework Agreement for repairs due to accident damage, it is impossible to predict the number of repairs that will be required. Tenders are required for LOT 1 — Vehicle Body Minor and Standard Repairs to Council fleet vehicles. Estimated annual value of all repair works carried out under LOT 1 shall be between zero and fifty thousand Pounds Sterling (GBP 0 — GBP 50 000) per annum. Repairer does not need to be an approved repairer of the Council's insurance provider or PAS 125 accredited or equivalent. Repair work to be undertaken is minor (i.e. up to six (6) hours labour) also including (but not strictly limited to),wheel, steering and suspension damage where a four (4) wheel geometry check is to be carried out. The labour element is to be less than six (6) hours. If the labour element is estimated from the outset by the Service Provider to take longer than six (6) hours, then such work will be deemed to be ‘Specialist’ repairs under LOT2 below. Tenders are required for LOT 2 — Vehicle Body Specialist Repairs to Council fleet vehicles. Estimated annual value of all repair works carried out under LOT 2 shall be between zero and one hundred and fifty thousand Pounds Sterling (GBP 0 — GBP 150 000) per annum. Any award onto LOT 2 needs to be an approved repairer of the Council's insurance provider. Service Providers on LOT 2 must also be PAS125 certified or equivalent.
