Description

The contractor is to provide emergency medical airfield cover to include the provision of pre-hospital emergency care and treatment. This shall be provided by 1 x Health Care Professional Council (HCPC) registered paramedic and 1 x Institute of Healthcare and Development (IHCD) ambulance technician or equivalent level and to include the provision of an a fully equipped trauma all-terrain patient carrying vehicle, at MOD Boscombe Down. The contractor is to provide emergency medical airfield cover to include the provision of pre-hospital emergency care and treatment. This shall be provided by 1 x Health Care Professional Council (HCPC) registered paramedic and 1 x Institute of Healthcare and Development (IHCD) ambulance technician or equivalent level and to include the provision of an a fully equipped trauma all-terrain patient carrying vehicle, at MOD Boscombe Down. Quantity: 240 days a year of which, 104 working days (excluding Fridays) can be extended to cover night flying operations with 24 hours’ notice to the contractor. A maximum of 700 hours per year in addition to the 240 workings days and weekend stated above can be provided, with no more than 65 hours in any one calendar month. The hours associated with night operations are part of these 700 hours. Contract term: 3 years. The authority reserves the right, at its sole discretion to extend the contract for a period of up to 24 months.
